Happy Turkey Trot Day!

Happy Turkey Trot Day!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Today is a day of turkey, family and 5K Turkey Trots! I skipped the 5K run to instead catch a glimpse of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Quite crowded, but a unique experience. In my opinion, the parade is best viewed in your own kitchen while cooking – sans crowds and poor views! Here’s wishing all a happy day filled with family, laughs and yummy food!

About the13thmile

I am proud to now say I am a half-marathon runner! Three half-marathons qualify for that status, I think. I blog about about running, nutrition and sometimes some other stuff. I share my research, tips and experiences with you, and am inspired by the supportive running community! I enjoy connecting with other runners, and hearing about other people's running experiences. Feel free to reach out if you have ran marathons or half marathons in the past!

Last year was my first ever race, and it was a Turkey Trot. 8 miles too! It was exciting. Sadly I did not get to run one this year. Being newly married and having knee injuries prevented me from doing so.
